GRAND MARAIS – A group on Facebook has taken another step toward voting Cook County Attorney Tim Scannell out of office.
According to their page, they filed a petition with the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office, Monday.
The group says it will need 585 signatures to successfully vote him out.
This all comes after a 17-year-old girl’s parents filed a restraining order against Scannell, when he allegedly told them he was in love with their daughter.
Scannell was also the prosecuting attorney who was shot at the courthouse in Grand Marais last year.
