Romeoville’s New Police Union Contract up for Approval
The Romeoville Village Board meeting Wednesday night is set to include the approval of the new police union contract. It goes without saying that one of the trickiest issues with city and government contracts on ANY LEVEL these days is the “cost of benefits”…especially health insurance. But Mayor John Noak says through the work of a committee researching the issue and a cooperative effort, things worked out quite well.
Noak also says that part of the new police union contract will be establishing a system of “12 hour shifts”….which is something that was definitely wanted.
Wednesday night’s Romeoville Village Board proceedings begin at 6 PM.
