Scott Daniel Stewart, 48, of Duluth, died of cancer on Monday, June 17, 2013.
Scott was born April 14, 1965, in Duluth, the son of Earl C. and Beverly Stewart.
He graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1983.
He was a leadworker for the Utility Operations Division for the City of Duluth, where he worked for 27 years.
Scott centered his life around his children, granddaughter and his church, the Church of Christ. He loved gardening and spending time at his cabin. He deeply cared about his family and friends and always stayed true to his beliefs.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Scott is survived by children Cassandra, Westley, Andrea and Benjamin, and granddaughter, Kailey, all of Duluth; mother, Beverly of Duluth; siblings Earl J. (Julie) of Larsmont, David (Cella) of Duluth, Corey (Maria) of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Kirsten (Kevin) Smith of Chaska.
SERVICE:4 p.m. on Monday, June 24, in the Gnesen Community Center, 6356 Howard Gnesen Rd., Duluth. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Dinner will follow the service.
